Robin Hood - Milt Kahl
Every so often, I’ll stumble upon music I just can’t stop loving. You know what I’m talking about, right? Those sweet beats you put on repeat! Whatever makes these songs special, (whether it’s just the right song at the right time, or you can relate to the lyrics where you are in life, etc.), when a song moves you, it’s the most wonderful feeling. The chorus of Walking On Air makes me feel so strong! (the rest of the song is so weird, haha!) So what started out as a scribble in a rush of inspiration turned into a rainbow starring Kerli in her black tutu outfit. I’m not even sure what other songs she sings, but this one makes me want to dance.
When I bought a packet of miniature bottles to make my “drink me” charms, I decided to get creative with what was left over. From left to right, the themes were pink princess, poison, bio-hazard goo, love potion, and the last one I just filled with sea salt. (so I can throw it over my shoulder when I’m in a pinch,) It was also a lot of fun practicing photography, too!
Alternatively titled: “The Very Rich Widow With A Terrible Secret: A Bert Macklin Mystery.” or “Angel Over Ruins” or “Pawnee and Prejudice”. Those are all titles given to me over twitter and I picked the easiest one to put on the poster. All are better than my initial idea, “Snakebit” and “the Fight”. I’m not a creative person.
Cholitas Luchadores: Bolivias Female Wrestlers.
The fighting cholitas see themselves as symbols of strength: Their opponents include bigotry and sexism. “My goal,” says one fighter, “is to lift up indigenous women, who have been treated with contempt.”
“We fighters carry within us a kind of fire that nothing can quench.”
